
Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence reported increased Chinese military activity near its territory, detecting multiple sorties by PLA aircraft and naval vessels in its Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ). On Sunday, nine Chinese aircraft and nine naval vessels were observed, with some crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait. The previous day, Taiwan detected 26 aircraft sorties, eight naval vessels, and a reconnaissance UAV, which left after radio warnings. Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te affirmed commitment to safeguarding the island amid rising tensions.
