The Sharadchandra Pawar faction of the NCP has agreed to ally with the Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS for the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. The NCP (Sharad Pawar) will contest 10 seats as part of this alliance, a reduction from their initial demand. This decision follows discussions with both the Congress and the Thackeray-led alliance, ultimately leading to the pact with Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS. The BMC elections are part of a larger process for municipal corporations across Maharashtra, with nominations closing soon and polling set for January 15.
