
Nepal has deployed over 300,000 security personnel under an integrated plan with the Nepal Army to ensure secure polling for the March 5 general election. Acting Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari confirmed all preparations are complete and encouraged voter participation. Polling will run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with ballot counting starting immediately after collection. Helicopters will transport ballots in some areas, and results are expected within 24 hours. Observers include four international and 39 national organizations.
