The Karnataka High Court has stayed the investigation against spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in a land encroachment case linked to alleged government land occupation in Bengaluru. The court noted that prima facie, no direct allegations implicate him and ordered the probe against him to remain on hold until the next hearing on January 21. The FIR was filed by the Bengaluru Metropolitan Task Force following a 2023 public interest litigation alleging encroachment in Kaggalipura village. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar denies ownership or involvement in the alleged land encroachment.
