MP High Court Seeks Responses on ASI Report in Bhojshala-Kamal Maula Dispute

The Madhya Pradesh High Court's Indore Bench has directed parties in the Bhojshala-Kamal Maula mosque dispute to submit objections and suggestions within two weeks on the Archaeological Survey of India's (ASI) detailed survey report. The ASI's 2,189-page report, based on a 98-day multidisciplinary survey, indicates that the mosque complex was constructed using remains of pre-existing temples and functioned as a religious and educational site over centuries. The court will hear further arguments on March 16, maintaining the status quo at the site, which is protected by the ASI and claimed by both Hindu and Muslim communities.
