Gohpur MLA Utpal Bora launched an expansion of the Solid Waste Management Project (Material Recovery Facility) with an investment of over Rs 1 crore under the Swachhata Bharat Mission. Additionally, an Rs 80 crore project to expand a 30-km road stretch from NH 15 in Gohpur town to Howajan via Dhenudhara under the Asom Mala Scheme was announced. Preparations for the Gohpur-Numaligarh link tunnel are also underway, with a potential foundation stone laying ceremony by the Prime Minister in February.
