The Tamluk and Purulia Assembly constituencies are among the 294 seats in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, both general seats without reservation. In the 2021 polls, Tamluk was narrowly won by Trinamool Congress's Soumen Mahapatra, while Purulia was won by BJP's Sudip Kumar Mukherjee. Both constituencies fall under their respective Lok Sabha seats, where BJP candidates secured victories in 2024.
