
Congress leader Sonia Gandhi was discharged from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi on Sunday evening after a week-long stay. She was admitted on January 5 for an exacerbation of bronchial asthma due to a chest infection. Hospital authorities stated she responded well to treatment, with her condition steadily improving. Doctors advised her to continue further treatment at home. Gandhi, who experienced difficulty breathing, was treated under the supervision of chest physician Dr. Arup Basu.
