Delhi's Public Works Department (PWD) inaugurated its first green waste processing plant at the Secretariat nursery to convert horticulture waste from roads into compost for landscaping reuse. Alongside this facility, five others became operational, with six more planned. The initiative addresses concerns from resident welfare associations and schools about waste dumping, aiming to improve waste management, soil quality, and the city's green spaces through localized processing and compost use.
