Nine people, including five men and four women, died in a road accident near Eluthur village in Tamil Nadu's Cuddalore district on the Trichy-Chennai National Highway. The accident occurred around 7:30 PM. Chief Minister MK Stalin expressed his condolences and announced Rs 3 lakh compensation for the families of the deceased and Rs 1 lakh for those critically injured. He also directed special medical care for the four injured individuals, including two children.
