Mizoram to Begin Infrastructure Development on Vacated Assam Rifles Land in Aizawl

Mizoram's Urban Development Minister K Sapdanga announced that infrastructure work on land vacated by Assam Rifles in Aizawl will start on March 17. The project includes widening a busy 1-km road stretch between Treasury Square and Bazar Bungkawn to 50 feet to ease traffic congestion. An advisory committee led by Chief Minister Lalduhoma will oversee the land's strategic use. Plans include preserving heritage structures, relocating a Mandir for a public park, and building a multi-purpose complex with a large parking facility and a 2,000-seat auditorium.
