DMK Finalizes Seat-Sharing with IUML and MMK Ahead of Assembly Elections

The DMK has finalized seat-sharing agreements with the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and Manithaneya Makkal Katchi (MMK), allotting two assembly seats to each party for the upcoming elections. IUML candidates will contest under their own ladder symbol, while MMK candidates will use the DMK's Rising Sun symbol. The DMK is still negotiating with Congress, MDMK, VCK, and DMDK. IUML has reduced its seat demand from three to two amid alliance expansions and has sought a seat in Puducherry. Congress was reportedly offered a Rajya Sabha seat during talks.
