Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha is facing criticism from the Bihar Revenue Service Association (BiRSA) over his conduct during public grievance redressal sessions. BiRSA has written to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alleging that Sinha uses humiliating and derogatory language against revenue officers, bypassing constitutional norms and administrative procedures in pursuit of popularity. The association claims these public hearings resemble "mob justice" and threaten to boycott future sessions if the behavior continues. Sinha's actions reportedly stem from warnings against land mafia collusion and addressing public complaints.
