Delhi Plans eBike-Didi Scheme for Women’s Safety and Pollution Reduction

The Delhi government is planning to launch the eBike-Didi scheme to empower women and reduce pollution by providing electric bike rides exclusively for female tourists. Women riders aged 18 to 40, residing in Delhi with valid licenses, will offer safe last-mile connectivity between major landmarks and transit points. The scheme, still under consultation, may involve partnerships with Bharat Taxi, subsidies for e-bike purchases, and phased implementation to ensure safety, affordability, and coexistence with private operators.
