
Senior JD(U) leader K C Tyagi resigned from the party a day after Nitish Kumar's Rajya Sabha election victory, citing non-renewal of his membership. Tyagi, who has held key roles in JD(U) and its predecessor parties since 2003, expressed continued respect for Nitish Kumar and commitment to social causes. He plans to engage actively in Uttar Pradesh politics and is expected to announce his new political affiliation at a March 22 meeting in New Delhi.
