Uttar Pradesh Develops Sarus Circuit to Promote Conservation and Eco-Tourism

The Uttar Pradesh government is developing a Sarus Circuit in the wetlands of Mainpuri and Etawah to conserve the Sarus crane, the state bird, and promote eco-tourism. The initiative includes wetland areas like Kirthua, Sahas, and Sarsai Nawar, aiming to protect habitats and boost local tourism. The Forest Department, via the UP Eco-Tourism Development Board, plans to create visitor facilities and generate income opportunities for local communities while encouraging conservation efforts.
