
Security forces in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district killed six Maoists, including senior cadre Dilip Bendja, during a two-day encounter on January 17-18. The operation recovered multiple weapons, including AK-47s, INSAS, and .303 rifles, along with explosives and Maoist materials. The Maoists carried a combined reward of Rs 27 lakh. Officials noted this as a significant setback to Maoist activities in the National Park area, with ongoing search operations continuing in the region.
