SAD Chief Accuses Punjab AAP Govt of Arrears, Misuse of Funds Ahead of Assembly Polls

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal has accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab of withholding over Rs 14,000 crore in arrears owed to government employees and pensioners, while allegedly misusing state funds for party campaigns. He welcomed the Punjab and Haryana High Court's April 30 deadline to clear dues and demanded an impartial probe into fund misuse. Ahead of the 2027 assembly elections, Badal described the polls as a contest against Delhi-based parties, criticizing their governance and alleging administrative bias against SAD members in local elections.
