Iran's Integrated Air Defence Network (IADN) has suffered significant degradation following intense US and Israeli air campaigns starting February 28, with key systems like the Russian-made S-300 and S-400 batteries near Tehran and Isfahan largely neutralized. The indigenous Bavar-373 and Chinese HQ-9B systems have also failed to prevent strikes on sensitive sites. The Israeli Air Force declared air superiority by March 1, enabling freer operations. Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi has been appointed IRGC Commander-in-Chief amid these challenges, as Iran's military strategy faces setbacks due to weakened air defenses and impaired missile capabilities.
