A Karnataka government-commissioned survey indicates strong public trust in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and the fairness of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with over 83% of respondents finding EVMs trustworthy and 91% believing elections are conducted freely and fairly. The findings have been highlighted by the BJP to counter Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's 'vote theft' allegations. However, Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge questioned the survey's methodology and the agency's ties, suggesting it was not a state government-sanctioned poll and was conducted by an organization with potential links to the Prime Minister's Office.
