Indian Navy to Commission INS Anjadip, Third Anti-Submarine Warfare Vessel, in Chennai

The Indian Navy will commission INS Anjadip, the third vessel in the Arnala-class Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft series, on February 27 at Chennai Port. Built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers, the 77-meter ship is designed for littoral combat, focusing on detecting, tracking, and neutralising enemy submarines in coastal waters. Equipped with indigenous weapons and sensors, including the Abhay sonar and lightweight torpedoes, INS Anjadip will enhance coastal defence and support surveillance, maritime operations, and search and rescue missions.
