Haryana has begun preparations for Census 2027, which will be the state's first fully digital census. Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi chaired a meeting to review administrative and logistical arrangements. To ensure data accuracy, all administrative boundaries have been frozen until census completion. Phase I, the house-listing and housing census, begins May 1, 2026. A conference for deputy commissioners will be held to outline responsibilities, and inter-departmental coordination is emphasized for successful execution.
