
The Centre has approved Rs 3,942 crore under the Amended BharatNet Programme to enhance digital connectivity in Chhattisgarh, connecting 11,682 gram panchayats via a ring topology network. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai described this as a historic step towards rural digital empowerment, aiming to improve e-governance, online education, telemedicine, and economic opportunities. The ring topology ensures reliable, uninterrupted service by rerouting data if a link is disrupted. Sai thanked Prime Minister Modi and Communications Minister Scindia for the support.
