West Bengal CEO and WBCS Officers Disagree Over 'Under Adjudication' Voter Names

The West Bengal Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Manoj Agarwal, attributed 60 lakh voter names marked 'under adjudication' in the electoral roll to Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant EROs (AEROs) not deciding cases after hearings during the Special Intensive Revision. The WBCS Executive Officers' Association strongly refuted this claim, asserting that the issue arose from actions by micro-observers and roll observers appointed by the Election Commission, and criticized the CEO's statement as unfairly shifting responsibility.
