Stakeholders at Tezpur University, including students, teachers, and non-teaching staff, began a 24-hour hunger strike to mark 100 days of continuous protest against Vice Chancellor Shambhu Nath Singh. The Tezpur University United Forum (TUUF) cited alleged corruption and irregularities, demanding Singh's removal and an inquiry. Protests, which intensified in late November, have led to administrative paralysis and eroded public trust due to the VC's prolonged absence and perceived inaction by authorities.
