Eviction Drive Conducted at Former BJD MLA's Farmhouse in Odisha Over Land Dispute

An eviction drive was conducted at the farmhouse of former Dharmasala MLA and BJD leader Pranab Kumar Balabantray in Odisha's Jajpur district over alleged encroachment of about 1.10 acres of government land within his claimed 12.88-acre property. The Dharmasala tehsil administration, following a 30-day notice and a High Court directive for land demarcation, carried out the eviction after verifying land records. Police were deployed to maintain order during the process.
