Maharashtra Government Transfers PMRDA Commissioner Amid Minority Department Controversy

The Maharashtra government transferred Dr Yogesh Mhase from Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) Commissioner to Secretary of the Minority Development Department amid controversy over minority status certificates issued on the day of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's fatal plane crash. Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari, formerly Nagpur Municipal Commissioner, was appointed as the new PMRDA Commissioner. The reshuffle aims to address administrative challenges and restore confidence in the Minority Development Department.
