Maharashtra Congress Plans Mayors in Five Cities, Alleges Election Irregularities

Maharashtra Congress president Harshwardhan Sapkal stated the party will have mayors in five cities and around 350 corporators across the state, positioning itself as the principal opposition. Sapkal alleged large-scale irregularities favoring the BJP-led alliance, including money distribution, bogus voting, and election manipulation, particularly in Mumbai. He called for the Election Commission to act impartially and affirmed Congress's commitment to democracy and future contests.
