AIADMK Renominates M. Thambi Durai, Allots Rajya Sabha Seat to PMK Ally

The AIADMK has renominated senior leader M. Thambi Durai for one of Tamil Nadu's Rajya Sabha seats in the biennial election scheduled for March 16, 2026. The party also allotted another seat to its ally, the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), represented by Anbumani Ramadoss. Both leaders filed their nominations on March 5, supported by AIADMK senior officials. The ruling DMK and its allies have also announced candidates for the remaining four seats. The Election Commission set March 5 as the last date for nominations.
