
India's first bullet train is slated to begin operations on August 15, 2027, according to Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail project, spanning 508 km, will be rolled out in phases, starting with the Surat-Bilimora segment. This initiative aims to significantly reduce travel time between the two major cities to approximately two hours, employing world-class standards and infrastructure, with a substantial portion already completed.
