West Bengal Opposition Leader Suvendu Adhikari faced protests from booth-level officers (BLOs) outside the Chief Electoral Officer's office in Kolkata, where shoes were allegedly thrown at him amid chants accusing him of misconduct. The BJP has requested the CEO to identify and take action against the protesting BLOs, whom they describe as pro-TMC. Adhikari has approached the Calcutta High Court seeking directions for enhanced security, citing police inaction during the incident. The court has allowed the petition to be filed and will consider the matter soon.
