Madhya Pradesh Assembly Debates Ladli Behna Yojana Benefit Levels and Registrations

In the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, the Opposition Congress staged a walkout over concerns about the Ladli Behna Yojana, alleging the BJP government is not fulfilling its promise to increase monthly benefits from Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,000 and is excluding new beneficiaries. Congress leaders criticized the freeze on fresh registrations and called for immediate hikes in assistance and pensions. The government stated funds are being disbursed to existing beneficiaries, with plans to raise benefits to Rs 3,000 by 2028, and clarified separate pensions for women over 60.
