The Bombay High Court has dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in the Lavasa project against Sharad Pawar, Supriya Sule, and Ajit Pawar. The court stated that investigations cannot be ordered for 'fishing or roving inquiries' to discover if a crime occurred, especially when previous challenges to the project have already been adjudicated and dismissed. The bench emphasized that probes must target identified individuals and not reopen settled issues.
