Himachal Pradesh Seeks BBMB Share, Pending Arrears, and Board Representation
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu reiterated the state's claim to a 7.19% share in the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), as recognized by the Supreme Court, highlighting pending arrears exceeding Rs 4,000 crore. The government is actively pursuing the release of these dues and seeking a permanent BBMB representative from Himachal. Discussions with Punjab, Rajasthan, and Haryana are ongoing, with Sukhu urging Haryana to support the claim through a court affidavit. He also commented on concerns over exam paper leaks during BJP regimes.
