West Bengal's Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari alleged his convoy was attacked by TMC supporters with bamboo sticks and a petrol can near Chandrakona Road in West Midnapore. He claimed local police were present but did not intervene. Adhikari's office is preparing to send video footage to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), which has requested a report on the incident. The TMC, however, stated Adhikari's own security force lathi-charged people, accidentally hitting BJP workers.
