President Murmu Reschedules West Bengal Visit to Attend Santal Conference on March 7

President Droupadi Murmu has rescheduled her West Bengal visit to a one-day trip on March 7, 2026, to attend the 9th International Santal Conference in Darjeeling. The change follows the resignation of West Bengal Governor C.V. Ananda Bose, whom she replaced with Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi. Originally planned as a two-day visit starting March 6, the president was also set to launch the Darjeeling Hill Festival and inaugurate related events virtually.
