Bihar's education department has returned the Bihar State University Service Commission's (BSUSC) recommendation for Rural Works Minister Ashok Chaudhary's appointment as an Assistant Professor of Political Science. The department cited the need for 'certain clarifications' and 'opinion and review' regarding Chaudhary's selection under the Scheduled Caste category. While 274 candidates were recommended for 280 vacancies, Chaudhary's name was notably absent from the final list of appointed individuals, being marked as 'kept waiting' pending scrutiny of his PhD degree.
