Election Commission Orders New Police Superintendents in Four Tamil Nadu Districts

The Election Commission of India directed the Tamil Nadu government to appoint new Superintendents of Police in four districts—Erode, Karur, Nagapattinam, and Virudhunagar—ahead of the April 23 assembly elections. Officers D.V. Kiran Shruthi, D.N. Harikiran Prasad, Sujith Kumar, and N. Shreenatha were assigned to these districts, with orders to implement the changes immediately and report compliance by March 17. Transferred officers are barred from election-related posts until polls conclude.
