Britt McHenry Resigns After Throwing Drink at Fan During NBA Game
Britt McHenry, a US State Department press adviser, resigned after a video showed her throwing a drink at a fan during an NBA game between the Washington Wizards and Milwaukee Bucks in Washington, D.C. The incident followed a heated exchange where McHenry confronted hecklers making disparaging and misogynistic remarks about a player’s fiancée. After a drink was thrown at her, McHenry responded by throwing her drink. She was asked to leave the arena amid boos and left her position shortly after.
