Chief Minister Pema Khandu described the faith as the state's identity and foundation of life, rooted in ancestral wisdom and harmony with nature. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein emphasized its reflection of the state's way of life. Celebrations included prayers, cultural performances, and felicitations, with a focus on reaffirming traditional values and preserving cultural heritage. The day also commemorates the formal organization of Donyi-Poloism in 1986.
