Uttar Pradesh Orders Early February Salary Disbursal Ahead of Holi 2026 Festival

Ahead of Holi 2026, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed that February salaries and pensions for about 28 lakh government employees and pensioners be disbursed early, on February 28, which has been declared a working day. The directive includes regular, outsourced, contractual, and sanitation workers, with strict instructions against any delays. A three-day Holi holiday from March 2 to 4 will be observed, with March 3 as a compensatory off to balance the adjusted work schedule.
