New PCMC Commissioner Suryawanshi Prioritizes Water Supply and Infrastructure Planning

Dr. Vijay Suryawanshi has assumed charge as the new Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Commissioner, prioritizing solutions to the city's water supply challenges amid rapid population growth nearing 38 lakh. He plans long-term water resource management over the next 25-30 years, including fast-tracking pipeline projects and sourcing cleaner water from nearby dams. Additionally, efforts will focus on expanding sewage infrastructure and increasing municipal revenue through property tax enforcement and recovery of dues.
