India's first bullet train on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor is planned to operate every 15-20 minutes during peak hours upon its initial launch, according to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. He stated that this frequency could later increase to every 10 minutes based on passenger demand. Vaishnaw highlighted the project's role in ushering in a new era of transportation and its potential for a significant multiplier effect on the Indian economy, reducing travel time between the two cities to under two hours.
