
Ahead of the April 17 release of Salman Khan's film "Battle of Galwan," based on the 2020 India-China clash in the Galwan Valley, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) clarified it has no role in film-making matters, which are handled by relevant authorities. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal dismissed reports that the ministry raised objections to the film. The movie portrays Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu, who died in the conflict and was posthumously awarded the Maha Vir Chakra.
