Some Lingayat seers have opposed the Basavadi Sharanara Hindu Bruhat Samavesha in Vijayapura, planned for Monday. Seers stated that true Lingayat leaders will not participate. Additionally, MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal opposes the event, alleging its use for political gain by some BJP leaders.
