West Bengal Launches Helpdesk for 'Banglar Yuva Sathi' Scheme Applicants

The West Bengal government has launched a dedicated helpdesk to assist applicants of the 'Banglar Yuva Sathi' scheme, which provides a monthly stipend of Rs 1,500 to unemployed youths aged 21 to 40 who have passed the Madhyamik exam. The helpdesk, operational Monday to Friday, aims to address queries, complaints, and application status. Over 84 lakh applications were received by the February 26 deadline, with 65 lakh from camps and 19 lakh online. The scheme was announced in the 2026-27 budget with a Rs 5,000 crore allocation.
