The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami stated that all facts regarding the 328 missing Guru Granth Sahib 'saroops' will be revealed to the public. He urged the community to avoid politicizing the issue and accused Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann of misleading the public. Mann, however, indicated the state government would summon former SGPC officials for a probe into the matter, citing past resolutions and the termination of a chartered accountant firm. Punjab Police have registered an FIR and formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the missing scriptures.
