Lok Sabha Speaker Reconstitutes Panel Probing Justice Yashwant Varma's Removal

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla reconstituted the three-member committee investigating corruption allegations against Justice Yashwant Varma, following the discovery of burnt cash at his residence in March 2025. The panel, originally formed in August 2025 after a multi-party impeachment notice, now includes Supreme Court Justice Aravind Kumar, Bombay High Court Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, and senior advocate B.V. Acharya. The reconstitution follows the retirement of Madras High Court Chief Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava and the Supreme Court's dismissal of Varma's challenge to the inquiry.
