
The Trump administration plans to quickly impose new tariffs if the Supreme Court overturns the global tariffs enacted under an emergency law, US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer told the New York Times. The court's decision, expected in the coming weeks or possibly as early as Tuesday, will test presidential authority and the judiciary's role in reviewing executive power. The Trade Representative's office has not yet commented on the matter.
