
Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu was appointed president of the Jharkhand BJP, succeeding Babulal Marandi, who remains Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly. Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram announced Sahu's appointment after receiving a single nomination. Sahu, previously working president, pledged to strengthen the party at the grassroots and focus on tribal rights, while Oram expressed confidence in BJP's future governance in Jharkhand. Several prominent leaders were also named to the national council from the state.
